BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Your questions,
answered.
Is this the official exam or study guide?
No. The exam is given by Pearson VUE for the Texas Department of Insurance. Licensquatch is independent.
Are these real exam questions?
No. These are original questions written to the public content outline.
Do I need a pre-licensing course in Texas?
Texas Insurance Code §4001.105 requires passing the exam. Confirm TDI's current rules for your situation.
How is the official exam scored?
A scaled score of 70 on a 0–100 scale. That is not the same as 70% correct. Of the 145 questions, 15 are unscored.
What does the diagnostic score mean?
It counts how many of these 25 you got right. It is not an official score and it does not say whether you will pass.
